I retired in 2018 from the U.S. Navy where I spent 21 years as a professional musician playing piccolo, flute and saxophone and held numerous conducting positions. Now I am a professional flutist/teacher in Jacksonville, Florida. My time as a military musician gave me unparalleled experience performing for high level government and local officials, senior citizen centers, schools, universities, and numerous community relations gigs that are far too numerous to list. My military career created a deep passion for bringing life to an audience through interaction by performing not solely as a musician but as an entertainer. I currently perform with the Florida Flute Orchestra, made up of professional flutists all over Florida, the First Coast Wind Symphony, a premiere concert band located in Jacksonville, and the Jacksonville Flute Duo, a professional ensemble who perform and share their love for music around Jacksonville. I have most recently performed at the Florida Flute Convention in Orlando and the National Flute Convention in Chicago, Illinois.
I am adept at details, programming, and will provide a polished musical performance that is fun and light-hearted which is why I am so excited to provide outreach to the local retirement and senior living communities. My musical selections vary based on the theme of the program and audience while always offering a well-rounded variety. The program will be entertaining, educational, and will bring joy!
